Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe hails from America and is a country music singer/songwriter. She released two singles in 2007 and an album entitled Satisfied. 2013 was the year she launched her second album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for more than 15 years, and spent five of those years as deputy city manager in Iowa City. She currently serves as the Assistant Village manager and holds a wide range of responsibilities that include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department in charge of grants and special projects. Ashley's job at Riverside is to assist with the day-to-day operation of village services, and to implement the strategy laid out by the elected officials. Ashley's prior roles have included administration planning, communications budgeting, and personnel management as well as collective negotiation. Ashley is also passionate about climate change. Ashley's engagement with national organisations as well as working with communities that have diverse populations have given her insights into how organizations of all sizes function. Ashley's class focuses on leadership, management and public administration from the viewpoint from a practitioner in the field.
